Digital OOH experience – global manufacturer https://techdrag.net/digital-ooh-experience-global-manufacturer/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=digital-ooh-experience-global-manufacturer Thu, 13 Sep 2018 12:06:16 +0000 https://techdrag.net/?p=408

The brief: To develop a touchscreen-based marketing application for an exhibition to showcase the company’s developments in different areas. It should work in two modes – presenter and visitor – so presenters could use it to present and visitors could use it to navigate on their own in kiosks.

The challenge: To develop an application to cater for multiple languages that was easy to update. Target desktops PCs, Macs and Surface tablets and be able to control what areas visitors could access on particular days of the exhibition.

The result: A cross-platform HTML5 based application to run on browsers as full screen, fully localised and easily updateable using an admin interface. The admin could lock down areas so visitors get to see what is relevant for a particular day.

Custom mobile app – sports events organiser https://techdrag.net/custom-mobile-app-sports-events-organiser/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=custom-mobile-app-sports-events-organiser Thu, 13 Sep 2018 11:54:12 +0000 https://techdrag.net/?p=398 The brief: To produce a cost-effective and easy to use mobile app which works offline and lets users and organisers schedule sporting events, track registration and participation. It also needed an admin area to analyse participation based on location, demographics and other parameters.

The challenge: Build an app with a limited budget which had offline syncing functionality, worked on iOS and Android platforms and tracked complex matrices like participation, demographics and regions.

The result: We decided to build a cross-platform app using web technologies and PhoneGap targeted to multiple mobile ecosystems, in order to keep costs down. We built a REST-based API so players could mark their attendance without installing the app. An admin interface was created to visualise matrices like demographics, attendance and regions with the help of graphs.

E-learning business training – global pharma brand https://techdrag.net/e-learning-business-training-global-pharma-brand/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=e-learning-business-training-global-pharma-brand Thu, 13 Sep 2018 11:00:06 +0000 https://techdrag.net/?p=387 The brief: To design and build an immersive simulation to test users responses to business challenges in a pharmaceutical context. Users had completed knowledge-based business acumen training, so we needed to develop a game-like experience to test the application of these skills in a realistic way. .

The challenge: With the client unsure what would work we had to ‘discover’ what would work best. The challenge was to create realistic sales scenarios that would work for an international audience, while developing engaging storylines and a game-like experience.

The result: We developed a web-based interactive simulation around four storylines that incorporated a range of interactive audio, video and graphics along with various decision-based games with complex branching. Outcomes were down to decisions the user took and tracked to support development discussions.
